Thanks for this article. I had a moral lapse after about a year and some months of not masturbating. One comment said something about touching and I was determined not to touch myself for some time and it does work. Touching triggers other senses. That's what I was reminded of just now as well as concentrating on the here and now, an awareness of what's real. Praise God.

Thank you so much. I've been searching for something to give me a new idea of how to deal with temptation and sometimes i think that i have dealt with it in this way but never consciously, more so during the times that i really listen to God. God bless

this is good advice, not too different from the approaches i have used. THe change truly does come within. And not obsessing about it is a big thing. That type of thinking is bad. The biggest thing that helped me is just NOT "touching myself" and making myself aroused, touching "it" does not help the lust go away. Once I realized that, then my temptations have been much less.

What an inspirational and insightful article. I feel so encouraged by this soft, persistent approach. It is the highest form of mental discipline, to approach our problems in a highly aggressive manner like a tiger pouncing on his prey will not lead to a long-term resolution. In a way, this philosophy is very Buddhist. Its all about accepting our feelings, and thoughts as they are and to wait for them to pass without taking part in or acting on them. I truly believe that people who succeed are those who are able to take a cool, soft, consistent learning approach. Thank you!

Thank you very much! I love your approach and how it differs from all other methods of overcoming such addictions. The incorporation of the Word was brilliant. Many thanks to you.

Thanks for this. I gave in last night and felt thoroughly rotten but you're approach makes sense to me. When we do the opposite to what ha-satan wants and do it with a good attitude I am sure he doesn't like that.
